Terms of Service

This page explains terms of service for visitors of Rob in Hood Digital. It is not marketing copy. Read it before you enroll in a track, submit a request, or rely on anything published on this site.

Agreement

Using this site

By opening rob-in-hood.digital, browsing course tracks, or sending us a request, you agree to the terms on this page. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms apply to every visitor, whether or not you are enrolled in a course.

Who we are

The operator of this website

Rob in Hood Digital is an online IT training academy based in Reston, Virginia. The site publishes course tracks in cybersecurity, DevOps and cloud, and AI and AI governance, along with supporting guides on how the courses run. We operate the website and its published material; we do not act as an agent for any third party when you read this site.

Your use

Reading and referring to the site

You may read, print, and share links to our pages for your own learning or to discuss a course with a colleague. When you quote something from this site, keep the meaning intact and credit Rob in Hood Digital. You may not present our material as your own, resell it, or use it to advertise an unrelated service.

Accuracy

Course details can change

We keep course pages, schedules, and topic outlines as accurate as we can, and we correct them when something is out of date. Track content, session order, and the tools covered inside a track are reviewed over time, so a page you read today may describe a slightly different sequence than the cohort you join. Where a change affects a course you have already enrolled in, we tell enrolled learners directly through the contact details they gave us.

External links

Pages we do not control

Some of our pages point to outside resources that may help your study. Those sites run under their own rules and their own privacy practices, and we cannot promise what they publish or how they handle your data. Follow an outside link because it looks useful to you, not because we vouch for everything on the far side of it.

Enrollment

Courses and enrollment

Course pages describe what a track covers, how sessions are delivered, and what you need before you start. Enrolling means you accept the outline published on the track page at the time you enroll, including any prerequisites it lists.

We do not promise a job, a promotion, a salary, or a passing score on any external exam. What we control is the course itself: the topics we teach, the order we teach them in, and the practice work that comes with each module. How far you take that work is yours.

If a track is not the right fit, tell us before the cohort starts and we will help you move to another track or step back from the enrollment. Ask about any prerequisite you are unsure of before you commit; it is far easier to sort out in advance than mid-course.

Rules of use

Acceptable use

The site is a place to learn and to plan your study. A short list of things that are not allowed keeps it that way for everyone. The rule that matters most is set apart below.

Account sharing

Course access belongs to the person who enrolled. Do not share login details, hand a session to someone else, or resell access to any part of a track.

Copying course material

Downloading, re-recording, or redistributing our lessons, slides, and lab instructions outside your own study is not permitted. This is the term we act on first, because it is the one that affects other learners.

Automated access

Do not scrape the site, run automated sign-ups, or send bulk requests through our forms. Reading the site by hand is welcome; loading it from a script is not.

Interference

Do not try to break, overload, or probe the site, its forms, or the systems behind them. If you find a problem, report it to us at info@rob-in-hood.digital and give us a chance to fix it before you test it further.

If an account breaks these rules, we may limit or end access to the course material involved. Where the problem affects other learners, we may need to act before we discuss it with you.

Your materials

Course materials and accounts

When you enroll, you get access to the lessons, lab instructions, and practice tasks for your track. That access is for your own study during the period stated on the track page. It is not a permanent archive, and it does not transfer to another person.

Keep your account details current. If your email address changes, update it or tell us, because that is how we send schedule notes and any change to your track. You are responsible for what happens under your login.

Our written material stays ours. Working through it, adapting it for your own notes, and applying what you learn on the job are all fine. Publishing our lessons or lab instructions as your own teaching material is not.

Fees and access

Payments and access

Course fees are shown on the track page you are considering, and enrollment is confirmed only after payment clears and you receive a confirmation from us. Until that confirmation arrives, treat your place as pending.

What applies to which situation
Situation What happens What we need from you
Before the cohort starts Tell us before the first session and we will move you to another track or step your enrollment back. A short email or phone call with your enrollment details.
Once sessions are under way We review the request against the part of the track already delivered and answer in writing. The reason for the request, so we can respond to it properly.
Access period ends Lesson and lab access closes for that track once the stated period runs out. Finish the modules you still need while access is open.
Payment problem Contact us before the cohort opens and we will sort out the payment or hold your place. The email address used on the enrollment.

Specific fees, dates, and refund windows are stated on the track page and in your enrollment confirmation. Where those details and this page differ, the enrollment confirmation you received governs the transaction.

Updates

Changes and how to reach us

We update these terms when our courses, our site, or the rules around them change. The review date at the top of this page tells you when the current version was last checked. If a change affects a course you are enrolled in, we contact you through the details on your account rather than leaving you to notice it here.

Questions about these terms

If a clause here is unclear, or you want to know how it applies to the track you are considering, write to us or call during office hours. We would rather answer a question before you enroll than after.

Common questions

Questions visitors ask about the terms

Do these terms apply if I only read the site and never enroll?

Yes. The rules about how the site may be used, and about our published material, apply to every visitor. Enrollment adds the course-specific terms about access periods, materials, and fees.

Can I quote your course descriptions on my own website?

A short quote with a link back to the page it came from is fine. Copying a full track outline or republishing our lesson descriptions as your own content is not. If you are unsure which side of that line your use falls on, ask us first.

What happens to my access if I pause a track?

Access periods are stated on the track page and confirmed when you enroll. Pausing does not extend that period by itself. Tell us as early as you can if your circumstances change, and we will explain the options that apply to your enrollment.

Where do I go for privacy or cookie questions?

Those sit in their own documents. Use the Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled and the Cookie Policy for what is stored on your device. Anything about course rules belongs on this page.
