Privacy Policy
This page explains privacy policy for visitors of Rob in Hood Digital. It is not marketing copy. Below you will find what information we collect when you browse the site, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about your own data.
Last reviewed: October 29, 2026. When this policy changes, we update this date and the wording on this page.

Data we collect
Form entries, message text, and the technical record of your visit.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, deliver course information you asked for, and keep the site working.
Your control
Ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion at any time using the contact details on this page.
What this policy covers
Rob in Hood Digital is an online IT training academy. This privacy policy applies to rob-in-hood.digital and to the pages you reach from it, including the course track pages and the contact page.
It covers the personal data we handle when you browse the site, when you write to us, and when you ask for course information. It does not cover websites we link to that are run by other organisations, since those sites publish their own privacy terms.
Information you give us
When you send a message or ask for course details, you may give us your name, email address, telephone number, and whatever you choose to write about your background or the track you are considering. We only receive what you actually submit, and you decide how much detail to include.
Information recorded automatically
Our web server records standard technical data with each request: the pages you open, the time of the visit, the browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your network address. This record is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding which course pages visitors read, and it is not used to identify you personally.
Information from cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies and similar storage to remember your consent choice and to keep pages loading correctly. A separate Cookie Policy lists the categories we use, what each one does, and how to change your choice later.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or health information through this website. If a conversation ever needs a document like that, we will explain why in writing before you send anything, and you can decline and still get your questions answered.
How we use your information
Every use below has a practical reason behind it. If you are unsure whether a use applies to your situation, write to us and we will explain it in plain terms.
Answering you
We use your contact details and the content of your message to reply, to send the course information you requested, and to follow up on an open question. Without them we cannot respond at all.
Running the site
Server records help us spot broken pages, block abusive traffic, and see which course tracks visitors actually read. This work uses aggregated and technical data rather than your personal profile.
Improving the courses
Questions we receive often tell us where a track page is unclear. We use that feedback to rewrite explanations and add detail, and we do it from the question itself, not from a named profile.
Administration and records
We keep a record of enquiries and enrolment correspondence so that our own staff can pick up a conversation where it left off, and so we can meet accounting and legal obligations that apply to us.
Course updates
If you ask to hear about a track or a starting date, we use your email for that purpose. You can tell us to stop at any point and we will remove you from the list without affecting your enquiry.
Legal duties
We may keep or disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect the rights and safety of visitors, students, and staff. We ask for the narrowest disclosure that satisfies the request.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent contact lists. Information moves outside our own systems only in the situations described here.
Where a supplier handles data for us, we choose suppliers that offer written data protection commitments, and we limit what they receive to what the task actually needs.
Hosting and site infrastructure
The site runs on hosting infrastructure that stores page files and server records on our behalf. Access is restricted to the technical staff who need it to keep the site online and secure.
Email and message handling
Messages you send arrive in our email systems so that staff can read and answer them. Those systems hold your address and the text of your message for as long as the conversation and our record-keeping require.
Analytics and consent tools
Consent management and any measurement we run are limited to what the categories in the Cookie Policy describe. If you decline optional categories, those tools do not run for your visit.
Legal requests and business changes
We may disclose information in response to a valid legal request, and we may transfer records if the academy is reorganised or sold. In either case, we keep the disclosure to what the situation requires and we continue to treat the information under this policy.
Keeping information and your rights
Retention follows the purpose. An unanswered enquiry is cleared sooner than enrolment correspondence, which we keep longer because of accounting and legal duties that apply to a training business.
When a retention period ends, records are deleted or reduced to anonymous statistics that no longer relate to a person.
Ask for a copy
Write to us and we will send the personal information we hold about you in a readable form.
Correct a detail
If your name, email, or telephone number is wrong in our records, tell us and we will fix it.
Ask us to delete
You can ask us to erase your information. We will do it unless a legal or accounting duty requires us to keep a specific record, and we will tell you which one applies.
Withdraw a choice
Consent for optional cookies can be changed at any time from the consent control on the site, and course updates can be stopped with one message.
We answer these requests within a reasonable period, normally within thirty days of confirming who is asking. If a request is unusually broad, we will explain what we can do and roughly how long it will take.
Security, children, and external links
We protect the information we hold with access controls, encrypted connections between your browser and the site, and routine software updates. No online service can promise that nothing will ever go wrong, so we keep the data we hold to what our work actually needs. If a breach ever affects your information, we will contact the people concerned and explain what happened and what to do next.
The academy serves adult learners preparing for IT careers. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and if a parent or guardian tells us that a child has sent us personal details, we will delete them.
Course pages may link to outside resources such as documentation or vendor sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we cannot control what they record. Check their policies before you submit anything there.
Our internal terms of service sit alongside this policy and describe the rules for using the site. Read them together if you are deciding whether to enrol.
Privacy questions
Do I have to give you my details to read the site?
No. Every course track page, this policy, and the other information pages are open without an account. Details are only needed when you decide to write to us or ask for course information, and you choose what to include.
How long do you keep an enquiry?
An enquiry that does not lead to a course is cleared once it is clearly no longer active. Correspondence connected to an enrolment is kept longer, because our accounting and legal duties require a record of the transaction. You can ask us to delete either kind at any time.
Does the site share information with advertising networks?
We do not sell personal information. Measurement and consent tools run only in the categories described in the Cookie Policy, and if you decline optional categories they do not run for your visit. Your choice is remembered so you are not asked again on every page.
How do I raise a privacy concern?
Write to us first and describe the problem. Most questions about records, consent, or a message you sent are settled in that first exchange. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you are free to contact the data protection authority that covers your state.
